AssetLake is a drop-in image asset storage, transformation, and CDN delivery layer powered by Sanity. Your backend handles the upload. Browsers fetch every transformed size directly from Sanity's Asset CDN, so your app servers never proxy an image.

The backend is on the write path only. After upload, no image byte passes through it.

Public images only. A Sanity image asset is readable by anyone who has its URL, so AssetLake is for avatars, covers, and other images meant to be seen.
